Presales Consultant – Data Center Technology
Job Summary:
A dynamic and results-driven Presales Consultant with a strong background in data center technologies is
required to provide technical expertise and support to the sales team. The role involves creating tailored solutions for clients, delivering compelling presentations, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Private Cloud, and enterprise-grade Storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in presales, technical consulting, or solution architecture within the IT infrastructure domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Development:
Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and propose data center solutions,
including HCI (Nutanix, VMware), Private Cloud (VMware, RedHat), and enterprise Storage
(NetApp, Dell, Hitachi Vantara). Design customized solutions that align with client business goals, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Client Engagement:
Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand customer pain points and technical
requirements. Deliver engaging technical presentations, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) setups.
- Technical Expertise:
Provide in-depth knowledge and support for data center technologies, including storage
architectures, virtualization, and private cloud environments.
Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data center solutions and provide insights
to internal teams and clients.
- Collaboration:
Act as a technical liaison between the customer, sales, and product teams.
Work closely with vendors and partners such as Nutanix, VMware, RedHat, NetApp, Dell, and
Hitachi to align solutions with their latest offerings.
- Proposal & Documentation:
Prepare technical proposals, RFP responses, and detailed solution architectures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and client requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting within the data
centre domain.
Certifications (preferred):
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
NetApp, Dell, or Hitachi Vantara storage certifications.
Key Skills:
Proficient in HCI platforms such as Nutanix and VMware vSAN.
Hands-on experience with Private Cloud environments (VMware vSphere, RedHat OpenStack).
Expertise in enterprise Storage systems (NetApp ONTAP, Dell PowerStore, Hitachi VSP).
Strong understanding of networking, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of designing and delivering successful data center solutions.
