Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer with expertise in
firewall technologies, VPN solutions, switching protocols, and network security tools. The
ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with at least two firewall technologies,
with Palo Alto being mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls including Palo Alto, FortiGate,
Check Point, Cisco, and SonicWALL.
Implement and manage Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and security policies.
Configure and maintain VPNs (Remote VPN, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN) across various
firewall vendors.
Hands-on experience with Check Point Firewall R80.20, including HA configuration,
URL filtering, ISP redundancy, and IPSec VPN.
Configure NAT, ACL, HTTPS Inspection, Threat Prevention, and Extraction.
Upgrade and manage Panorama M-100, including version upgrades from 8.1.21 to
9.1.12-H3.
Manage Palo Alto firewalls in HA (Active-Passive, Active-Active) modes.
Set up and maintain DMZ server access, Source & Destination NAT, and
Antivirus updates in Palo Alto.
Configure LDAP authentication profiles and Global Protect VPN (gateway,
portal, security policies).
Network Infrastructure Management:
Configure and manage Cisco switches (3850, 2960-X, 2960).
Implement switching protocols including VTP (V1, V2, V3), DTP, PAGP, LACP,
STP, PVST, PVST+, RSTP, MST, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
Work with routed protocols (IPv4, IPv6), and other essential network protocols
(DHCP, TELNET, SSH, CDP, FTP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS).
Set up and manage SSID authentication on IAP for guest users.
Handle bandwidth utilization reports and add new devices to network topology.
Utilize monitoring tools like ManageEngine and Wireshark for network analysis.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under
pressure.
Hands-on experience in configuring and upgrading network security devices.
Familiarity with Ethernet, EtherChannel, VLANs, and stacking technologies.
Experience in handling firewall configurations, security policies, and access
control measures.
Ability to work on incident management during upgrades and deployments.
Strong understanding of network security best practices and compliance
standards.
Preferred Certifications:
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) (Mandatory for
Palo Alto experience)
Fortinet NSE 4 or above
Check Point CCSA/CCSE
Cisco CCNP Security or equivalent
