Role Summary
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Officer (BDO) with hands-on experience in bringing IT clients for recruitment and staffing services. The candidate must have worked in a consulting, staffing, or recruitment firm and should be capable of independently generating leads, converting them, and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target new IT clients (product & service-based companies) who require recruitment or staffing services.
- Pitch Syncwell’s offerings (permanent hiring, contract staffing, executive search) to HR/TA leaders, hiring managers, and decision-makers.
- Drive the entire sales lifecycle: lead generation, prospecting, presentations, proposals, pricing discussions, and closures.
- Maintain and nurture long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and upsell opportunities.
- Work closely with the delivery/recruitment team to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the recruitment landscape.
- Achieve and exceed revenue and client acquisition targets on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Maintain records of business development activities and sales pipeline in CRM tools or tracking sheets.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 1–3 years of proven experience as a Business Development Officer in a staffing/recruitment or consulting firm.
- Demonstrated ability to bring in IT clients and generate revenue via staffing/recruitment services.
- Deep understanding of the IT hiring ecosystem, roles, technologies, and client requirements.
- Excellent communication, client presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking capabilities and ability to build trust-based relationships.
- Comfortable with field visits and client meetings in Pune and surrounding regions.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Existing network of IT HR/TA contacts in Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore.
- Exposure to diverse hiring models – contract, permanent, bulk hiring, leadership hiring.
- Familiarity with recruitment metrics, pricing models, and service-level agreements.
