Senior ServiceNow SAM Pro Developer
Job Summary
A fast-growing technology consulting company is looking for a Senior ServiceNow SAM Pro Developer to own the day-to-day platform operations of an enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro framework. This hands-on role centers on building and supporting SaaS, cloud, and software integrations through pre-built connectors and custom APIs, configuring SAM Pro capabilities, and driving automation-led process improvements. You’ll also perform QA and code reviews, and extend support to Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and cloud asset management teams within the ServiceNow platform, working closely with analysts, developers, and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro integrations (40%) — build and support SaaS, cloud, and software integrations using pre-built connectors and custom APIs within ServiceNow
- Lead SAM Pro automation and platform enhancements (20%) — identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions that increase SAM Pro adoption and operational efficiency
- Perform quality assurance and solution reviews (15%) — conduct code reviews, testing, and QA activities for SAM Pro implementations and other ServiceNow development work
- Manage vendor and third-party relationships (10%) — act as liaison between the organization, ServiceNow, and third-party vendors for integration, support, and platform-related initiatives
- Develop ITAM solutions (10%) — design, configure, and develop moderate-complexity ITAM and SAM Pro solutions, workflows, and customizations within ServiceNow
- Other duties as assigned (5%) — provide related support to hardware and cloud Asset Management stakeholders within the ServiceNow ecosystem
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on ServiceNow development experience, preferably on ServiceNow SAM Pro
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and web services
- Proven experience integrating vendor and SaaS systems (e.g. Adobe, Microsoft, Lucidchart, and similar platforms) with ServiceNow
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Scheduled Jobs
- Working knowledge of SSO/SAML, OAuth, Azure AD, and identity management integrations
- Experience with data ingestion, ETL processes, and data transformation
- Sound understanding of SAM concepts, software licensing, compliance, and entitlement management
- Experience with ServiceNow Import Sets, Transform Maps, and IntegrationHub
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for integration issues
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, JSON, XML, and data modelling
- Experience with automation and workflow development on the ServiceNow platform
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work independently and within a team
Good-to-Have Skills
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Advanced exposure to ServiceNow IntegrationHub together with SAM Pro
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience integrating HR, Procurement, Vendor Management, and SaaS platforms with ServiceNow
- QA experience, and prior exposure to ITAM, HAM, or IT Procurement functions
- Strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder reviews
Additional Notes
- Engagement type: Contract, standard 40 hours/week, with an indicative engagement window of approximately six months, extendable based on performance and business requirement
- Reports into the IT Software Asset Management Lead within the IT Operations/Business Operations function
- Self-starter mindset is mandatory, along with the ability to build partnerships beyond the immediate tactical team and strong interpersonal/communication skills
- ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications preferred and will be considered a differentiator during shortlisting
