About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Performance Testing & Engineering Associate / Lead to own and drive the end-to-end performance engineering function. With 6–9 years of hands-on experience, you will define testing strategy, build scalable frameworks, and deep-dive into system behaviour to ensure applications perform at their peak — especially under high-load, real-world conditions. Experience in the Tax or FinTech domain is a strong differentiator for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive performance engineering strategy covering load, stress, and endurance testing across API and UI-based scenarios; champion a shift-left testing approach
- Tooling & Automation: Design and implement scalable performance frameworks using Artillery + Playwright, JMeter, and K6
- NFR Management: Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define, baseline, and validate Non-Functional Requirements — including throughput, latency, and resource utilization
- Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct system performance monitoring and tuning; analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and database execution plans to identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Data & Scripting: Write complex SQL queries for data integrity validation and large-scale test dataset preparation; build custom scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
- Domain Application: Leverage Tax or FinTech domain knowledge to simulate realistic peak-season scenarios such as tax filing surges and complex financial calculation loads
